Instructions for accurately measuring a single pleated screen
Correctly measuring a pleated screen is essential for a perfect closure. Careful measuring is the first step to the right size pleated screen. In this guide we share practical tips and steps for measuring the pleated screen.
What exactly are you measuring?
Sliding door
The pleated screen is placed between the reveals of the fixed part of the sliding door. Measuring a single pleated screen is done from the outside, you measure the tight size between reveals (see the image below). This size determines the total dimensions of the pleated screen and must be recorded accurately. Make sure that you have both the width and the height. You enter the tight size in the configurator, we make a correction ourselves.
Exterior door
For an outside door, you place the pleated screen on the inside. For the width, you measure the tight size between the two reveal sides, for the height, you measure the tight size between the floor and the reveal side.
Important points to note:
- Always measure horizontally and vertically.
- Always measure at three points and take the smallest measurement.
Horizontal measurement (width)
Measure the width of the opening in which the single pleated screen is placed. To be sure, take the measurement at three points, normally there should be no difference. Always take the smallest measurement.
Vertical measurement (height)
Measure the height of the opening in which the single pleated screen is placed. To be sure, take the measurement at three points, normally there should be no difference. Always take the smallest measurement.

- Double check your measurements to avoid mistakes.
Please note: the dimensions given must always be the tight dimensions. We make a correction ourselves during production.
